Parent Education eClasses
The following eClasses, from NYU Langone鈥檚 Center for Perinatal Education and Lactation, are available in your choice of eight languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Japanese, and Chinese. You can progress at your own pace: after you first sign on, you have nine months to complete or review the class before you lose access.
eClasses can be viewed on your smartphone, computer, or tablet, and their sections can be viewed in any order.
Labor & Birth
Consider this class your go-to guide for answers you can trust on pregnancy, labor, comfort techniques, medical procedures, and newborn and postpartum information. This interactive online course also highlights ways partners or support persons can help throughout the process. You鈥檒l also get a sense of what labor is really like as you watch several birth stories, and you鈥檒l also have the opportunity to create your own birth plan.

Baby Care
Babies do not come with an owner鈥檚 manual, but this online class is the next best thing. Through instructive video clips, animations, and interactive games, this comprehensive class teaches you how to care for and bond with your newborn. Sleep patterns, comfort techniques, and basic baby care are all covered.

Breastfeeding Basics
Breastfeeding can be an amazing experience, but it is not always easy. This class, which discusses the benefits of breastfeeding and common challenges in a nonjudgmental way, gives you the tools to make the best choice for your family.

Cesarean Birth
Cesarean Birth is a unique online learning experience that provides comprehensive information you can trust as you prepare for your upcoming cesarean birth. In this class, you will learn how to make your birth and recovery comfortable and joyful through instructive video clips, animations, and activities. You will also get a sense of what having a cesarean is really like as you watch one family鈥檚 planned cesarean birth story. You will even have an opportunity to create your own cesarean birth plan!

Your baby鈥檚 safety is your top priority, and this learn-at-your-own-pace eClass will give you the tools and knowledge to help keep them protected at every stage. From sleep safety to CPR, you鈥檒l learn practical tips to prevent injuries and respond with confidence in emergencies.

What to Expect When Delivering at NYU Langone Health-Tisch Manhattan Campus
Whether you鈥檙e weeks or months away from delivery, this class hosted by our OB Navigator is here to help you feel informed, empowered, and supported every step of the way. In this session, you鈥檒l learn about: what to expect from admission through postpartum recovery, how to prepare for labor and delivery: what support looks like from our care team, and tips for navigating your hospital stay comfortably There will be time at the end for Q&A and helpful resources will be provided. We always welcome a support person to join!
