Family Health Centers at NYU Langone Honored for 13 Years of Empowering Families Through ParentChild+ Program
The ParentChild+ team at the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone was honored at the 60th Annual ParentChild+ Gala for its outstanding commitment to empowering families and advancing early childhood development in underserved communities over the past 13 years. The award recognized the Family Health Centers’ holistic approach to health—one that extends beyond medical care to address education, family wellness, and opportunity. Through the ParentChild+ program, led by Program Manager Jeannette Martinez, NYU Early Learning Specialists visit families in their homes, equipping parents with books, toys, and coaching to strengthen the parent–child bond and support school readiness. The program transforms lives across Sunset Park, Brooklyn, by fostering confidence in parents as their child’s first teachers, bridging families to essential health and education services, and building trust through culturally and linguistically reflective home visits. With ParentChild+ National, the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone help families plant the seeds of lifelong learning and resilience.
