Perlmutter Cancer Center’s Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery Recognized with Medical Devotion Award at Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society Community Appreciation Event
On January 6, Bashar A. Safar, MD, the George David Stewart Clinical Professor of Surgery in the at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and Chief, , Department of Surgery, was honored at A Night of Gratitude, a community appreciation event held at the Ritz Theatre & Performing Arts Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Dr. Safar was given the Medical Devotion Award by the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS), a prominent nonprofit providing medical advocacy, insurance guidance, and financial support for cancer patients. Dr. Safar’s unwavering commitment to his patient community has improved numerous lives, and the award represents the invaluable contributions he and NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center have made to treating patients and providing the best outcomes.
